Job Summary
The Senior Project Engineer provides technical leadership and coordination across engineering disciplines to ensure successful project execution. This includes managing engineering deliverables, supporting procurement and construction activities, and liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with project goals and technical specifications. The role acts as the technical lead on complex subsea IRM projects and translates project requirements into coordinated engineering work and technical integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibility
- Lead technical planning and execution of subsea IRM projects.
- Define and control engineering scopes, design reviews, and vendor deliverables.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality and technical standards.
- Oversee design reviews, procurement specifications, and subcontractor technical clarifications.
- Provide offshore support during critical phases and ensure field-readiness.
- Act as technical interface between projects, clients, vendors and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a commitment to improve and comply with SSHE policy, environment regulations as well as labor law.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural) or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in project management, preferably in oil and gas, subsea, or engineering industries
- Experience with project engineering tools and documentation control
- Experience working in high-reliability or safety-critical environments, preferably offshore or subsea systems.
- In-depth knowledge of subsea structures, ROV systems, and marine construction methodologies.
- PMP, IPMA or equivalent certification preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with marine operations, inspection technologies, or ROV systems.
- Proficient in MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent project tools.
- In-depth knowledge of subsea structures, ROV systems, and marine construction methodologies.
- Strong documentation and interface management capabilities.
- Proficient in engineering tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar) and technical standards (DNV, API, ISO).
- Strong problem-solving skills during incidents or when implementing new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
